The Burnout Epidemic: Why Givers Need to Receive Too
The Burnout Epidemic: Why Givers Need to Receive Too
There’s a silent crisis happening behind the scenes of our schools, hospitals, and service centers: burnout.
Nurses. Teachers. Social workers.
The backbone of our communities are overworked, overwhelmed, and overlooked.
These are the people who give without question.
But who’s caring for them?
At Indigo, we knew something had to change. That’s why we created the Community Care Outreach (CCO) program that brings healing and relief directly to those who give so much, on-site in their workplace, at no cost to them.
What We Do:
We deliver on-site chair massage experiences to schools, hospitals, clinics, and nonprofit organizations—creating sacred pockets of restoration, even in high-stress environments.
Because even 10-15 minutes of safe, compassionate touch can:
Reduce cortisol and blood pressure
Soothe overstimulated nervous systems
Alleviate physical tension
Reconnect people with their bodies
Increase emotional resilience
Who It's For:
Burned-out school staff, admin, and teachers
Nurses and healthcare teams
Nonprofit teams and social workers
Caregivers and community leaders
ANYONE who’s constantly pouring into others, but lacks access and resources to take care of themselves in this way
Why It Matters:
Burnout doesn’t just affect individuals—it affects entire systems.
By helping frontline workers feel cared for and replenished, we support the whole, and strengthen our community at large, just by giving a little.
How You Can Get Involved:
Sponsor a wellness day for your local school or hospital
Gift a massage package to a frontline worker you love
Partner with us to bring Community Care Outreach to your organization or team
Join the Self Care Club— a portion of each membership goes directly to making CCO possible Let’s be part of a new kind of wellness movement—one rooted in community, compassion, and restoration.
